At All Foods Farm, John Auckett is the apiarist, and he keeps roughly 10 hives on our property at Buffalo and another 10 on a property in Tarwin Lower. As the bee’s are not migratory (we don’t move them around from property to property) we are limited in the number of hives we can keep on the property without them starving from lack of nectar and pollen.  Each hive produces roughly 20 kgs of honey each year, which we sell at the local Buffalo General Store. The bee’s  also help pollinate our mixed orchard of over 500 fruit trees
